ON THE WAY...TOO!

Image
Wednesday 18th. Drove early to Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee. I had sufficient time, however there was a traffic accident at the Marquette interchange that slowed traffic. Apparently a car rear-ended a tanker truck and both went up in flames, fortunately nobody was hurt. By the time I got there traffic started moving faster so I made it to the airport on time. But not everything should turn out fine. When I went to check my bag found out that the flight was delayed, so I can't make it to my connecting flight in Chicago. The United clerk suggested that I take the bus and should be there on time. I am in the bus now, but we had to stop because one of the passengers had to get a ticket (?), maybe I won't make it in time now. But I can always take a selfie. We are starting again, keeping my fingers crossed. After a few more delays, arrived at O'Hare late for my flight, like I expected. Originally I had thought about driving  directly to Chicago but I then though...

GETTING READY!

Got my airline tickets and car and hotel reservations already for a visit to Glacier Park for a couple of days. I am leaving on Wednesday 18th in the morning from Milwaukee's Mitchell Airport, flying through O'Hare directly to Essex Montana. I'll meet  with Andrea and Jayant there on Wednesday evening when they arrive on the Empire Builder- Amtrak's train that will be take them from  Milwaukee to Seatle with the aforementioned stop in Essex for a couple of days to visit the park. We will be staying at the Izaak Walton Inn right in Essex, which appears to be a town even smaller than Kohler- it has a population of 130. This means that there are about 2 people per square mile so the chances of seeing anybody else when you go out for a walk are rather thin. Hopefully I'll be able to see some Grizzly bears or, at worse, a few ducks. But Essex seems not a good place to make many friends- but it's great if one is looking for solitude.
